Denia – Mirador del Xap
1. Briefing
Easy ride through the initial kilometers until you reach the town of Sagra at kilometer 16, where you’ll encounter a minor climb. The route continues on peaceful roads, leading you into the picturesque Vall de la Gallinera valley.
The only significant climb awaits just before the town of Benissavà (kilometer 37). You’ll leave the main road and turn left onto a rural road that will take you all the way up to El Mirador del Xap.
After these challenging climbs, you’ll descend on scenic roads to the village of Ebo, where you’ll face the final climb of the circuit.
2. CLimbs
❚ Km 38 ⇝ 41 ❚ This challenging climb spans 3.4 kilometers with an 🚩average gradient of 9.7%🚩. The steepest sections are at the beginning, with gradients reaching 18%. Be sure to conserve energy for the final part of the climb, where you’ll face a short stretch with gradients of 20%🔥. Enjoy the scenic natural surroundings and low traffic as you conquer this challenging route.
❚ Km 51 ⇝ 54 ❚ This climb offers an short 3 kilometers challenge without any technical difficulties. The real reward comes during your descent where you can unleash your speed while soaking in the stunning panoramic views 🌞🌴.
3. Traffic
Once you pass through the town of Ondara at kilometer 8, the roads will become significantly calmer. Enjoy the tranquility of the rural roads ahead, with minimal traffic 👌. Keep in mind that traffic may increase slightly after passing Pedreguer (around kilometer 80).
4. Road Quality
The road quality is excellent throughout the entire route.
