Calp – Guadalest
1. Briefing
This route takes you to the town of Altea. Once out of Altea, the road slowly goes up until you reach the picturesque town of Castell de Guadalest. This town is the perfect place to stop en route, just before the stretch that leads downhill to the beautiful reservoir. From there, you’ll hit your final climb that brings you back to the village of Castell de Guadalest.
Once at the top of Castell de Guadalest, you descend on a nicely paved road all the way down to Altea. The way back to Calp is relatively easy, with only a few short climbs along the way.
2. CLimbs
You’ll come across some challenging stretches along the way, with bits pushing 15% gradient⚡️⚡️.
3. Traffic
🚩Expect heavy traffic the first and last kilometres🚩 as we ride along the national road (between Calp and Altea). Traffic will become less dense once we cross the town of Castell de Guadalest.
4. Road Quality
Road quality is very good throughout the whole track.
