Altea – Moraira
1. Briefing
Embark on a captivating circuit that unfolds along coastal routes, treating you to picturesque views of the Mediterranean coast. The initial stop is Calpe, and beyond the town, you’ll encounter a pleasant, easy climb, followed by a nice descent with scenic views of the Mediterranean coast.
Moraira marks the midpoint of the circuit—a perfect spot to pause at one of its coastal bars for a coffee.
As you pedal back, the coastal road guides you all the way from Moraira to Calpe, culminating in the return journey to Altea. Enjoy the coastal breeze and the ever-changing sea views.
2. CLimbs
Prepare for a single, brief climb around kilometer 13, immediately following Calpe. This short ascent winds through a residential area, offering delightful views over the bay of Calpe. It’s a charming hill that adds a touch of elevation to the route.
3. Traffic
Anticipate heavy traffic, particularly in the stretch between Altea and Calpe, as you navigate the national road. Be prepared for traffic throughout the entire circuit, especially as summer approaches. Exercise caution and stay alert while enjoying your ride.
