Following a satisfying descent into Ebo, your wheels will turn towards “Pla de Petracos.” The route guides you through a picturesque valley, featuring a gentle ascent in the first kilometer. After this brief incline, enjoy a long 15 km descent toward the town of Parcent.
The climax of your journey hits at kilometer 80—the iconic Coll de Rates. A beloved climb in the region, it unfolds on an excellent and wide road, treating you to stunning views.
2. CLimbs
Get ready for an 8 km climb, with an average gradient of 5.8%, reaching its steepest point at 9%. As you ascend, soak in the stunning views around you while your wheels glide smoothly on perfect tarmac. And the reward? A satisfying descent awaits on the other side. Sounds good, right? 🚵♂️🏞️
One of the most popular climbs of the region. This one’s a 6 km ascent, and the beauty lies in its manageable average gradient—never exceeding 6%. Keep in mind, this is the shorter version; the longer journey commences from the other side of the hill, starting in the village of Callosa d’en Sarrià.
3. Traffic
Anticipate some heavy traffic in the initial kilometers as you roll along the national road. However, once you navigate through the town of Benissa, the traffic will noticeably thin out. Particularly in the stretch between Ebo and Callosa d’en Sarria, the roads ease up, offering a more tranquil cycling experience. 🚗🚴♂️
4. Road Quality
The road quality remains consistently excellent throughout the entire circuit. Smooth riding all the way! 🚴♂️🛣️
